Dental Implants
A titanium post placed in the jawbone to replace a missing tooth root, topped with a crown. Used for single missing teeth or, as "All-on-4"/"All-on-6", full-arch replacement.
What the procedure typically involves
- 1.Consultation and imaging (X-ray or CT scan) to assess bone density
- 2.Implant placement surgery
- 3.A healing period for the implant to fuse with the jawbone (osseointegration)
- 4.Fitting of the permanent crown once healing is complete
Recovery
Initial healing from the surgery itself typically takes about a week. Full osseointegration before the final crown can be fitted generally takes several months, which is why implants are often done over two separate trips.
Typical trip length
2 trips, spaced months apart
