Root Canal Treatment
Removes infected or damaged pulp from inside a tooth to save it from extraction, then seals and often caps the tooth.
What the procedure typically involves
- 1.Diagnosis via X-ray to confirm infection
- 2.The infected pulp is removed and the canal cleaned
- 3.The tooth is sealed
- 4.A crown is often fitted afterward to protect the treated tooth
Recovery
Some sensitivity for a few days is normal. Most people return to normal activity the same or next day.
